1. The semi-private Medical Specialty Unit (MSU) rate is $124.00 per day and the semi-private Long Term Care rate is $115.00 per day. The private MSU rate is $186.00 per day and private Long Term Care rate is $172.50 per day
2. Medicare pays the first 20 days in full, and all but the coinsurance for the remaining 80 days.
3. Our facility is mostly comprised of semi-private rooms. We do have 5 rooms on our Medical Specialty Unit to be used as private rooms. If you want a private room and we have one available, it's on a first-come first-serve basis.
4. Yes, many of them have. A lot of our management have been here 5+ years. The Administrator has been here 11 years, and the Director of Nursing has been here 9 years.
5. To apply for Medicaid, you will need to apply at the Social Services Office. Your total assets cannot be more than $2000 to qualify. You may contact the Texas Department of Health and Human Services for further details on the plan.
6. Yes, an independent barber/beautician is available to our residents 4 days a week. Residents are responsible for all fees associated with this service.
7. Staffing varies on the individual needs of our residents and is adjusted accordingly.
8. The health care center cooperates with all licensed/certified/registered healthcare professionals you may elect. You have the right to use your own personal physician or, in the event you do not have a current provider, the health care center has compiled a list of independent providers who are available to serve you. All physicians you elect must be credentialed to practice at the facility and must comply with all facility policies and procedures as well as applicable laws.
9. Personal care items, such as dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aides, toiletries, etc. plus enough changes of clothing for at least 5-7 days of wear.
10. All the rooms are wired for cable and telephone. In Medical Specialty Units, these services are included. However, in Long Term Care rooms, patients are responsible for all associated charges.
